One of the first things I bought when I was in Colombia was a tiny notebook, not more than 500 pesos, small like a wallet. I've written differents things on this notebook: new worlds that I learned, important notes to remember, good ideas to implement later, addresses, phone numbers, etc.
In the plane, sitting in my seat, just after boarding, I was reading the notes in there and decided to write some last thoughts. I'll write it in here, just like it is in my notebook.
"Going home,
we bought coffe at Juan Valdez (café + Arequipe), chatted just for a few minutes and soon I was leaving. At the boarding room, I was feeling different, I couldn't hear people talking in spanish next to me, all around people were speaking portuguese, with very singular accents (cariocas, paulistas, bahianos, gauchos)... I wasn't in Colombia anymore and I miss it a lot.
2 monthes and 2 weeks is very short time to get to get to know such an amazing country like Colombia, with all it's rich nature and diverse culture. But it is sure enough time to fall in love with it. It'a actually not a short time, if you lived everyday with enthusiasm, if the convenience didn't let you give up trying new things and if you have shared every single moment with wonderfull friends, people of great mind and spirit.
"
Que gusto conocerlos,

Take care.
